Ponytail were a lovely surprise for me. Tight, intriguing and fun. Can't ask for more from crunchy, yelping art rockers. And Yeasayer. Amazing live. The music is what I'll refer to as "Newer Wave," (a kind of cross between modern noise and 80's New Wave) and more than most musicians, they seem to dare you not to dance your ass off. No one at Skully's tonight could oblige. (2009.07.20)
